The 12 Floors The Exact Location on each Floor Different Specialized Areas Functions
1st Floor North District Intensive Collection Stack-room Books and other materials on this floor are mainly in Chinese, with a low loan rate and superfluous duplicates.
2nd Floor East District Classification-A Book Reading & Borrowing Area These Chinese books are primarily on Marxism and Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought and Deng Xiaoping Theory.
The Administrative Offices responsible for daily administrative affairs of the whole library, the coordination between different departments and handling external affairs.
West District Exhibition Area for New Collections All the newly-processed books are exhibited here for 15 days, and then they are moved into the original stack rooms and put on bookshelves in batches.
Reader Service Department Dealing with overdue books, compensation for lost books and procedures for graduates; handling problems encountered by readers when they borrow library collections.
Acquisition & Cataloging Department Responsible for acquisition, collecting, checking & accepting, classification, cataloging, book and periodical processing, readjustment and distribution of all kinds of collections.
Middle District The Loan & Return Desk In charge of such services as book managing, loaning & returning, dealing with lost or broken books, cancellation of expired or invalid library cards, providing help for readers and so on.
General Information Desk Providing readers with consultation service
3rd Floor East District Area for Collections on Social Sciences & humanities These Chinese books are primarily on philosophy, social science, Marx and Lenin works, politics, military affairs, science, education, sports, etc.
West District These Chinese books are on history and geography.
4th Floor The Whole Floor Area for Collections on Literature These Chinese books are mainly on literature.
5th Floor The Whole Floor Area for Collections on Natural Sciences These Chinese books are chiefly on mathematics, physics, chemistry, astronomy, geo-science, biology, medicine, aerospace, environmental science, etc.
6th Floor East District

Information Consulting Department & Central Computer Room

The information consulting department is responsible for information consulting service, information literacy education for readers, teaching of literature retrieval courses and user training.
West District Teachers’ Reading Area Providing personalized reading space for teachers
Middle District Reading Room for Collections on Arts These specialized materials are mainly on arts.
7th Floor The Whole Floor Reading Room for Collections on Electronics and Computer Technology Reading Room for Books on Electronics and Computer Technology
8th Floor The Whole Floor Reading Room for Collections on Law These Chinese books are mainly on politics and law
9th Floor The Whole Floor Reading Room for Collections on Economics These collections are mainly on economics,
10thFloor The Whole Floor Reading Room for Language Collections Readers can find all kinds of language books here.
11thFloor East District Reading Room for Collections in Korean Books in Korean are reserved here.
West District  Reading Room for Collections in Japanese  Books in Japanese are reserved here 
12thFloor The Whole Floor Reading Room for Collections in Foreign Languages Original and photocopied books in foreign languages (mainly English) are reserved here.
